Is LockMargin really 100% offline?
Yes. LockMargin stores all your data locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your machine. No cloud sync, no remote servers, no internet required for core functionality. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
What happens after I buy a license?
You receive a perpetual license key valid for the current major version (v1.x). All v1.x updates are free. Future major versions (v2.x) will be offered at a discounted upgrade price. You own the software forever.
Can I use LockMargin on multiple devices?
Standard license covers 1 active device. Agency license covers up to 5 devices for your team. Licenses are tied to your email, not hardware — you can deactivate and reactivate as needed.
How secure is my financial data?
All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from your master password via Argon2id. Even if someone gains physical access to your machine, they cannot read your data without your password.
